What might God be feeling? In Hosea 11:1-2, God speaks in first-person, saying, “When Israel was a child I loved them, and out of Egypt I called my son. The more I called them, the more they went away from me” and the chapter continues by revealing that God has a real heartache about human sin. The passage gives us a glimpse into what God might be feeling Himself when we wander away from following Him. Yet, though He is wronged, and has every right to show His wrath, God decides to show mercy. This shows us the heart of God – and the heart of God is best shown in the Gospel of Jesus – for His sacrifice on the cross shows how much He loves us! Human sin breaks God’s heart, but God’s love is still steadfast. We hope you can join us in person on Sunday, but if that is impossible for you, then we will be pleased to have you join us on Facebook.
In I Kings 19, the faithful prophet Elijah found himself running for his life. King Ahab and Queen Jezebel were out to get him and he knew it. Desperately, he sought a sign from the Lord. Frightfully, he soon witnessed a violent wind, an earthquake, and a raging fire. He might have thought these as signs from God, but the passage explains, “the Lord was not in any of these” but instead, the word of the Lord was to be understood in a “still small voice.” Even in our lives, and even in the midst of trouble, the “still small voice” of the Lord can be heard when we learn to listen for that voice. We must hone our listening skills not only with the Lord, but also with one another! We sincerely hope you can be here with us in worship, but if this cannot be done, then we will be pleased to have you join us on Facebook.
Isaiah 40:29 He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.
James 1:19-21 Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.
1 Thessalonians 4 A Life Pleasing to God Finally, brothers and sisters,[a] we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus that, as you learned from us how you ought to live and to please God (as, in fact, you are doing), you should do so more and more.
Good morning! Because of a lack of available personal. The services will not be streamed live today. Please enjoy some of our previous videos of our services. Be blessed!
There's a story in the book of Acts about the time Philip went into Samaria in order to convert the people there to Christianity. One of the Samaritans was a sorcerer and had quite a following. He converted to Christianity along with his former followers, but many of his old ways were still in him. Philip spoke sternly to him and the man asked for Philip’s prayers, so it appears that the man may have had more complete of a conversion. Even today, Christians can be too easily influenced by the ways of the world. We must seek to be faithful disciples every day. ~ Pastor Chuck

Joseph's story concludes by explaining how Joseph forgave his brothers now that he realized that his whole life and all that had transpired was by the guiding hand of the Lord – by God’s providence and love. Joseph now has the big picture – a new perspective – so it was easy to forgive. In our lives, forgiveness becomes easier when we can see a bigger picture of God’s work of salvation and new life! ~ Pastor Chuck
Romans 8:10 But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
